It is necessary that even as adults, we find ways to enjoy our vegetables. Because vegetables are important to having a healthy body. Various nutrients, minerals, vitamins and fiber are supplied through vegetables.
Practical ways to get more vegetables
Allow taste buds repeated exposure.
As you eat more vegetables, your palate will change, and you will start to adapt to the new tastes. Unmask your taste buds from all the sugars, preservatives, artificial ingredients, toxins, etc. Then you will start to taste the real flavor of foods, and actually like them!
Use a sauce to dip or cover vegetables.
Try one of our several dressing recipes. We have everything from Honey Mustard to 1000 Island to all kinds of vinaigrettes and creamy dressings. It makes your veggies special, cooked or raw.
Grill or roast vegetables.
Set your oven at 400˚F and bake for 20-40 minutes, depending on the vegetable. It gives them an entirely different level of flavor and caramelization that is terrific. Drizzle some balsamic or red wine vinaigrette or Italian dressing on them, and it’s a totally different vegetable.
Drizzle vegetables with Kerry Gold butter.

Stir-fry your vegetables.
This is another option that adds another level of flavor. Try adding a little bit of toasted sesame oil, and you will have a delicious Asian dish. Stir-fries are great, too, because you can mix veggies you aren’t as fond of with ones you do like.
Bury your veggies in a smoothie.
We have plenty of recipes for smoothies and you can be creative yourself. Frozen riced cauliflower has become a favorite.
Try the GHS tomato juice smoothie.
You can find this recipe in your client portal. This is another way to help you drink your vegetables down. You can add hot sauce, squeeze some lime, add spices to make it to your liking.
Don’t overcook your vegetables.
A vegetable that is tender-crisp has much greater flavor and more nutrition, too.
Introduce a new vegetable in a salad.
Try a new vegetable by hiding it in a salad. You can add a little bit of one vegetable into a mix of lettuce with a dressing you love. Then, over time, increase the amount of the new vegetable as your taste buds adapt.
Give vegetables a try.
Stop telling yourself how much you hate them, while you put them into your mouth. That’s a big part of the problem. As you think, so you will believe. Lie to yourself if you have to, just do it. You’ll thank us when you look and feel better!
